0316 Labo is a private research initiative operated by TAKARA UNSO K.K. in Tokyo. We explore next-generation Agent AI systems combining TTS (Text-to-Speech), controllable prosody, LLMGATE — a governance layer for safe, memory-aware assistants — and Whisper-based real-time transcription optimized for Apple devices. Our focus is on privacy, latency, and a human-centered future of AI agents.

The transportation business of TAKARA UNSO K.K. was officially concluded on November 30, 2025.

TTS Research

Developing expressive, emotional, and context-sensitive voices through advanced acoustic modeling and neural prosody control.

LLMGATE Architecture

A framework that governs memory, context, and data boundaries, allowing users to define precisely what the agent can know or retain.

Whisper-based Real-time Transcription

Three-stage pipeline for seamless, accurate, and secure transcription — entirely under user control.

Three-Stage Real-time Transcription Pipeline

Stage 1 – Live Caption (Edge, <300 ms)

On-device VAD and streaming decoding deliver instant subtitles.
Designed for meetings, AR HUDs, and assistive applications.
Latency under 300 ms with partial decoding; all data local.

Stage 2 – Near-Real-Time Refinement (1–2 s)

Performs punctuation, phrase correction, and short-window re-decode.
Runs locally or over a secure LAN node (Mac mini / NAS).
Balances accuracy and responsiveness for note-taking.

Stage 3 – Deferred High-Accuracy Pass (5–10 s)

Generates full transcripts with timestamps, diarization, and summaries.
Utilizes a larger Whisper model + LLM cleanup for clarity and structure.
Exports Markdown / JSON with anonymization and memory governance.

Mayu Project

Mayu is our internal AI companion — calm, articulate, and emotionally aware. She orchestrates the transcription pipeline, speaks through our TTS system, and ensures ethical consistency within LLMGATE. Mayu embodies the bridge between technology and human subtlety.
